What is the room rate?
The rate varies by the time of the year, holiday, special event, and day of the week. Discounts may apply for AAA membership, Roger Williams affiliation, corporate arrangement, active duty military, specials offered, etc. Rates vary from $99 per night to $219 plus a $20 per night extra charge for a third person or cot in a room.. The best deals are found on line, unless you have a special situation, such as a group or length of stay. How big are your rooms?
The 3 front rooms—Blithewold, Sturbridge and Middleburg are the largest rooms, about 12 by 15 feet, with shower baths. The Nautical and Garden Rooms are about 12 by 12 feet with larger baths.
Where are the rooms located?
The Blithwold, Stturbridge, and Nautical Rooms are downstairs. The Middleburg and Garden Rooms are upstairs on the same level as the guest parlor.
Do all rooms have there own bathroom?
Yes, all rooms have private baths.
Does my room have a/c?
All rooms have air conditioning in season, with ceiling fans year-round.
Does my room have a hair dryer?
Yes, all rooms have hair dryers.
Do you serve breakfast? What is it?
All guests are offered breakfast served in the dining room or patio from 8 until 9:30 with other times by arrangement.. It is a full breakfast consisting of: fruit, juice, muffins, beverage of your choice, main course. Seconds are available. We cater to special diets, so be sure to let us know if you have special needs.
Do you still have a suite?
The Middleburg and Garden Rooms are on the same level as the parlor, but are separate rooms. with their own baths. A family or two couples often take these rooms, as they offer some of the same benefits of a suite, but offer individual privacy.
How far are some of the most frequently used venues for weddings or receptions?
Blithewold Mansion is less than a mile. Linden place is just a few blocks, Herreshoff Marine is four blocks. The churches, Saint Marys, Saint Elizabeths, Saint Michaels, Congregational, Baptist are 2-6 blocks.
When is checkin and checkout?
Checkin is typically 1 pm or after, with late checkin by arrangement. Checkout is typically 11:00 am. We can cater to your needs by arrangement.
Are children accepted?
Children over 12 are welcome. Young children typically only stay when part of a whole house group such as a wedding or family group.
Do we accept pets?
Typically no, except for service dogs.
I have pet allergies. Have pets been in your rooms?
We have a no pet policy for reasons of allergies. We have an inn dog that produces little in the way of allergens. If you are very allergic, we suggest you stay at another place.
Is the inn suitable for handicap access?
The house being of its colonial design and narrow doorways is not considered handicap accessible.
Can I buy a Gift certificates? What do you accept for payment?
We accept our own and Bed and Breaqkfast.com gift certificates. We also sell both. We accept cash, checks, travelers checks, and credit cards: VISA, MC, Discover, and American E.
How do you confirm reservations?
Typically, we send emails to confirm reservations. If you make your reservation on line their will be an email confirming your reservation and thanking you for your advance payment with your credit card.
What is your cancelation and amendment policy?
A reservation can be cancelled or amended up to 14 days prior to the start of your stay. After that, we will try to resell your room—if we are mot able to resell your room, you are obligated for the full cost of the stay. Reservations for large groups may have special conditions for nonrefundable deposits.
What are the arrangements for parking?
We have free parking on the street, or in our private lot.
