Warren is a New Englander at heart, born and raised in Medford, Massachusetts, leaving at the age of 17 to attend Virginia Tech. He started out his career as an Army Engineering Officer, is a Vietnam Veteran and a retired reservist. For 17 years he was a Project and Field Engineer in the Oil and Energy Industry for the Ralph M. Parsons Company and Bechtel Construction. After retiring from that field he spent 18 years as a mathematics middle school teacher and school principal in New Zealand and the USA. At the Inn he the co-innkeeper and “jack of all trades”. His favorite Inn job is the constant “tuning” and remodeling projects around the inn. Watch out in the morning for his outstanding omelets and Belgian waffles. If you are early for breakfast, Warren will greet you.
Diane is originally from Arlington, Virginia, and is a graduate of Radford College. She taught for many years, primarily as a 2nd grade and reading teacher. Diane is the guiding light behind the inn's success. She loves to spend time working on the eclectic and thematic appointing of the house and rooms and is the artistic director behind Warren's remodeling projects. Diane is been the proud mother of two children, now grown, and is the grandmother of two lovely girls who now live in New Zealand with our son and daughter-in-law. She spent a good deal of her time being wife, mom and center of the family as the family lived and traveled throughout the United States, Far East, Middle East, Europe, Mediterranean, and South Pacific. If you want to know what any place in the world is like, she will describe it to you, show you an artifact, and compare notes about your travels. Diane specializes in "the best blueberry pancakes in the world", eggs benedict, and a myriad of freshly-baked muffins. Both Warren and Diane enjoy frequent travel.
